meal plan - january 4 - 9

If you haven't noticed before, I do best when I meal plan Saturday to Thursday.  We stick to our plan better and we are more enthusiastic about our meals when we plan them over the weekend and grocery shop together.  Not sure why that is, but it works, so hey!

Here is a look at our first meal plan of the year.  We are in the process of selling our home and building a new home and we need to cut back on the amount we eat out - because we currently eat out at least 3-4 meals a week, if not more!!!!!  TOO MUCH!  I'm hoping posting here will hold me accountable.  Right.  LOL.  We shall see.

Saturday Lunch - Pretzel Roll Sandwiches (with leftover New Years Ham), Chips & Spinach Dip
Saturday - Steaks, Baked Potatoes & Green Beans
Sunday Lunch - Grilled Cheese Sandwiches & Pasta Salad
Sunday - French Dip Sandwiches & French Fries
Monday - BRINNER!!  Oh yeah, baby - Breakfast for dinner!  HAHA
Tuesday - Grilled Flank Steak with Soy-Mustard Sauce, Garlic Mashed Potatoes & Spinach Salad
Wednesday - Honey Mustard Chicken Tenders, Pasta Roni & Carrots
Thursday - Italian Wonderpot & Garlic Bread

So, there you have it - my plan for taking 2014 by storm ;)  Happy New Year!!!

meal plan - march 17-23

Here is our meal plan from this last week --  this is probably the first one I've made and stuck to all the way in a very long time!  :/  Hopefully it won't be the last for a while, though, LOL

Saturday - Steaks with baked potatoes and greens
Sunday - Herb Roasted Chicken, Garlic Noodles and fresh green beans
Monday - Pan Seared Tilapia with Lemon Dill Sauce, Rice Pilaf and Corn on the Cob
Tuesday - Honey Lime Chicken Skewers, Pasta Roni, Grilled Zucchini
Wednesday - Chicken and Rice Casserole, left over Green Beans
Thursday - we ate out, LOL
Friday - Spirit Party for dance
Saturday - Pork Chops with roasted fingerling potatoes, broccoli and cauliflower and GRILLED OYSTERS!!!

Grilled Oysters... yes.  Amaze.  OMG.

I'll post about those, right NOW!  Happy planning!!!

meal plan - october 6-12

Well, with little Miss Reagan's 5th birthday party I was a little more than distracted from meal planning!  And the week after the party, we lived on hamburgers every single night, hahaha!  We bought two times as many patties as needed and they were in the house and easy to fix, so we cooked them!  We actually have them on this weeks menu also... just in a different form!

So, without further ado... I present this weeks meal plan :)

Saturday - Bacon and Spring Onion Pasta, salad
Sunday - breakfast tacos
Monday - Panko Chicken tenders with mustard cream sauce, cheesy broccoli and Pasta Roni
Tuesday - Smothered Steaks, zucchini and rice a roni
Thursday - chicken and rice casserole, green beans
Friday - Spurs Game!!

We LOVE to have breakfast for dinner, and this week we did breakfast tacos.  We scrambled eggs, fried some bacon, made some breakfast sausage, hash browns and refried beans (for Kyle...... haha).  Put everything on the table with tortillas and viola!  Great dinner and we all got to pick what we wanted.  Which for the most part was a little bit of everything :)

Going back to the hamburgers, we are using those again for the smothered steaks this week.  And again, to each their own... mine will have cheese and mushrooms, Kyle has some blue cheese crumbles and bacon for his and Reagan's will probably be plain, LOL.

I don't have a recipe for the casserole yet, but I'll update that soon :)

As far as the Spurs game... Reagan is dancing at halftime!!!!!!!  I am SO excited!!!  Hopefully she thinks it's fun and doesn't freeze out there on that huge floor!

meal plan - september 8-14

Last week I made a meal plan and my grocery list in Word.  But my printer was out of ink, so I wrote the grocery list out on a piece of paper.  After I finished grocery shopping, I came home and decided I didn't need the list any longer since I bought all the groceries and I closed it without saving.  Then I realized that I didn't ever write down my meal plan!!  Um, hello?!  So all week... "What are we having tonight?! And what goes with that?!"  We just made do, LOL... it worked out fine.

So this week I'm puttin' it on the Internets so it is there forever and ever and ever.  :D

Again, we run our weeks Saturday to Friday and we don't meal plan for Wednesdays.  And as the last two weeks show we eat out on Fridays a lot, LOL.

I'll post a link to the recipes I have and add reviews later!

Saturday - steaks at church
Sunday - Cowboy Meatloaf and Potato Casserole with fried cabbage
Monday - Parmegiano Panko Herb Encrusted Chicken Breasts with Roasted Brussels Sprouts and Rice Pilaf
Tuesday - Beef Pot Roast with carrots & potatoes
Thursday - Panko Chicken tenders with mustard cream sauce, corn on the cob and Pasta Roni
Friday - FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS!!!  Football game = eating out!

So, Friday Night Lights... it's that time of year!!  Our little cousin dances for a high school in another town so when they play schools where we live we go!!  So, Go Warriors!!!

Have you planned this weeks meals yet?  Will you use any of these??

Meal Plan - September 1-7

I think I can, I think I can!!  I think I can start posting more regularly now!!  Summer is ALWAYS crazy for us!  Between an off schedule with school/MDO and vacations and swim lessons and dance classes and VBS and EVERYTHING else... I didn't have ANY time for blogging!!!

But, I'm hoping to change that -

I have a few recipes to review and though I didn't get any picture the original recipes have pictures and that will have to be OK.

So, I'll start simple - a meal plan!

This was our meal plan for this week.  We eat at church on Wednesday nights so we won't have a Wednesday meal often.  Also, we run our weeks Saturday-Friday b/c we grocery shop on Saturday (I'll post about that later).

Saturday - Grilled Sirloin, mashed potatoes, grilled zucchini / yellow squash
Sunday - BBQ chicken wings (hot, Asian zing & parmesan garlic), french fries
Monday - Roast Chicken with herbs, garlic butter noodles, salad
Tuesday - Honey Lime Chicken Skewers, rice pilaf, green beans w/ potatoes
Thursday - Pork Chops with Shallot & Mushroom sauce, Stove Top stuffing, grilled yellow squash
Friday - My honey just called that he is taking me out tonight!  YAY!!  I'll save this meal for next week.

We did a great job of cooking all of our meals and eating on time this week.  My little one started back to school this week so we needed to make dinner and clean up a priority again!!
